Maytag dryers are great but will stop heating one day.

When your Maytag dryer stops heating, you don't have to panic. This could  turn out to be a very easy repair, you could have a bad  heater or maybe the thermostats are bad or just maybe the breaker had tripped, either way maytag dryers where built really good. So lets take a peek at what we have here.

1. Is the Maytag dryer getting enough power? ( dryer should get 240 volts for heater to work )

     If you are getting 240 volts of power to the dryer then lets move on to step two

2. Lets test the heater for contituity. ( to access the heater on maytag dryers you either lift the lid or remove the bottom panel on the fron of the dryer )

                              If the heater has contituity then lets test the next step, if no contituity at the heater replace  heater Get Part Price

Lets say that you test the heater and they are good and you test the power and it shows 240 volts and yet you still have not heat to the dryer, then lets move on to the next step.

                             3. You may need to test the motor and make sure that it is sending the heater 110 volts.
